Overseas Training Report
Material Science Special Seminar Ⅱ
Department of Physics, Graduate School of Science, Ms. Wang
From February 2023 to April 2023, I had a chance to learn in Johan’s Lab at Zurich University with the support of GP-MS program. It’s an important experience for me.
In these two months, I joined some courses and the projects in Johan’s lab, and attended experiments in DESY of Germany. Meanwhile, by discussing with Prof. Johan and beam scientists, I get so many good suggestions on my own research topics.
With this experience, on the one hand, I learned some new research topics and can work together with new friends, which provided me with a new view of my future work. On the other hand, I learned how to cooperate with students and researchers from different cultures, which provides more ability for my career.
Meanwhile, I get a lot of chances to discuss with researchers in related fields. This made me learn not only academic knowledge but also communication skills in the academic field. It told me that good cooperation and communication are important for doing research.
